Note: The Nursing-Biology Building was built a few years later than Pangborn Hall across the street and Gowan and McCort-Ward halls to which it is attached. All four buildings have similar materials and detailing.

Setting: Foundation planting and lawn.

Architecture: The Nursing-Biology Building is a mid- 1960s simple modern building devoid of ornament. The facade has tan brick pilasters separating window panels with yellow brick spandrels. The exterior and interior of the building are simple and utilitarian.

History: The Nursing-Biology Building is a purpose-built academic structure meant to be part of a complex. It sits between Gowan Hall and McCort-Ward Hall.

Significance: The Nursing-Biology Building is part of a matching composition including Pangborn Hall across the street and its adjacent neighbors, Gowan Hall and McCort-Ward Hall. It does not contribute to the architectural or historic qualities of the campus.

Condition: The building supports a high level of teaching and research activity. To continue to function, the mechanical and electrical systems need to be upgraded. Some interior work, especially in instructional areas, is desirable.
